First Visit with Oral Surgeon
Your first consultation visit with Dr. Dhadli comes after you have scheduled your appointment. During the initial appointment, you will be diagnosed and the most suitable treatment options will be explained to you.
If your situation is not very complicated, surgery or any other appropriate treatment options will be administered. However, if your situation requires a complex treatment plan, then further evaluation could be recommended and your treatment moved to another convenient date.
Please bring the following information to your initial visit:
- Your surgical referral slip and any available x-rays
- A list of all current medications
- Completed forms of medical or dental insurance, if available. This will assist us in expediting the claims process.
IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany any patient below 18 years of age during the first visit.
All patients undergoing intravenous (IV) sedation before surgery must take part in a preoperative consultation and physical examination. Before surgery, patients are required to avoid eating or drinking anything. Patients must arrange for someone to take them home once the surgery is completed.
It is critical you inform us of any health problem that may impair a successful surgery. Some of these conditions include diabetes, high blood pressure, allergies, artificial heart valves and joints, and rheumatic fever.
Furthermore, since some medications can affect your recovery and response to anesthesia, it is important you let us know before the surgery if you are using any of them. Some of these medications include heart medications, over-the-counter (OTC) medications, supplements, or anticoagulant therapy.
